課程介紹(含教學目標/課程特色):
Model United Nations (UN) is a simulation of committees of the United Nations. Students are assigned the roles of diplomats representing different countries in negotiating and debating specific topics in line with the UN Rules of Procedures. By modeling the United Nations (MUN) the course aims to facilitate and encourage knowledge of international affairs and negotiations, to promote understanding of multilateral conference rules of procedure, and to help students develop public speaking and research skills.
In particular, the module is designed to provide students with an introduction to the UN as an institution, its role in international affairs, and the role of diplomats in the decision-making process. By learning from the past and present, participants will get the opportunity to practice and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.
